What is Klondike Solitaire?

Klondike is the classic solitaire game that most people simply call "Solitaire." The goal is to build four foundation piles (one for each suit) in ascending order from Ace to King. It's the perfect single-player card game for quick mental breaks or extended gaming sessions.

How to Play Klondike

The game starts with 7 tableau columns containing 1 to 7 cards each. Build descending sequences of alternating colors in the tableau. Move cards to the foundation piles when possible, starting with Aces.

Tableau: Build down in alternating colors (red on black, black on red).
Foundations: Build up by suit from Ace to King.
Empty Columns: Only Kings can be placed in empty tableau columns.
Stock & Waste: Draw from the stock pile. Cycle through as needed.

Tips & Strategy

Expose as many cards as possible early in the game.
Move Aces to the foundation as soon as they appear.
Try to keep at least one empty column for flexibility.
In Draw 3 mode, remember the cards you've cycled through!
